Title: Hope

Hope represents the helpless young girl who is trapped by her mother. This artwork aimed to capture the feelings of the small girl who became ill after eating an apple, but is still ready to fight back despite her illness. Despite having chains around her, the young girl is reaching out with her hands to demonstrate that she is ready to stand up again. Stephan Alcorn, impressionism, and the Disney film Snow White all served as inspiration for the artwork.
Title: Dream of Nightmare
Size: 2ft x 2ft
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Exhibition Text:
Dream of Nightmare is about a girl having a nightmare in her dream. Her nightmare reveals her fear. I intended to convey in this picture that she is terrified of herself and what she might become because, according to my interpretation, she is terrified of having her identity and how she is judged by others. Identity determines who we are, and perception of identity is having a perspective on others, yourself, or things. This artwork was inspired by Peter Käuflin and an Unknown artist.
